Noble Park Accounts & Payroll Administrator – Part-Time

Colmed Group (formerly Colbrow Medics) is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced accounts gurus.

Colmed Group has been delivering reliable and professional pre-hospital care to Australians since 2006 and has set the standard for customer service in our industry.  We value TeamworkFlexibilityReliability and Integrity.  As for many Australian businesses, 2020 has been a year of challenge and has seen our services expand into nursing services, infection control training and swab testing.

 

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, approximately 8 hours per week, up to 1 hour Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (from home). On Wednesdays, payroll day, approximately 1-4 hours from our office in Noble Park North. Reporting to the General Manager and based predominately at home; we are looking for a self-starter, who can independently manage the requirements of our small but growing accounts department. The perfect accounts guru is someone who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service for our staff, clients and suppliers.  This role would be suited to a contractor or someone looking for more hours or supplement their income.

 

Role Responsibilities:

Colbrow Medics

  • Maintain working relationships with clients, staff and suppliers;
  • All duties associated with accounts receivable and payable, through Xero;
  • Weekly payroll;
  • Preparation and payment of statutory liabilities including – Superannuation, GST, Payroll tax, Taxation and any other liabilities as they may arise;
  • Prepare and lodge BAS on a monthly basis;
  • Compliance with regulation and company policy, and;
  • Work within our company policies and procedures and objectives of Colbrow Medics

 

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is up for a challenge and is keen to showcase their drive and ability to work independently.  You will be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and committed to providing quality service.  You will be confident in your abilities, reliable and have a strong work ethic and be willing to continue to learn and grow with us.

 

Your Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualified in Accounting/Finance or related discipline; typically the role is suitable for Accounting/Finance graduate with 2-3 years experience in an Accounting/ Finance environment
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to interact with staff, clients and suppliers in a professional and objective manner
  • Ability to prepare ledgers, cash flow forecasts and financial reports
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial reports and statutory requirements applicable to the business
  • Sound understanding of legislative requirements for Payroll, Superannuation, GST and Taxation
  • Competent in the use of MS Office Suite of applications and;
  • Firm capacity to learn new software

Salary Range: $30-$40 p/h
