Local Council First Aid

Colmed Group has the experience and expertise to provide appropriate levels of first aid on hand, to ensure the safety of participants and spectators at council run events.

Colmed Group is the number one provider of first aid services to local councils throughout Melbourne and Regional Victoria. Colmed Group has provided first aid medics to a wide variety of events organised and staged by most local councils throughout Melbourne. We are also used by event organizers who wish to use local council facilities or where the event must be approved by the council and where the council requires independent first aid services. In either instance, Colmed Group can assist. For community celebrations and events such as commemoration days, ceremonies, carols by candlelight, street festivals and parties, kids fun days and any other event run by local council, first aid services are necessary.

Colmed Group has the experience and expertise to provide appropriate levels of first aid on hand, to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. Event organizers have a duty of care to the participants and spectators to provide adequate first aid services at their events. Local councils also have this duty when approving the use of Council facilities or when the event is run by the Council itself. Any event that involves a significant number of spectators and/or participants carry the risk of injury, regardless of the activity being undertaken at the event. The risk could be related to the age of the participants and spectators, the weather on the day and simple bad luck.

Colmed Group can ensure first aid officers, paramedics and nurses attend with defibrillators (AED), oxygen therapy and  comprehensive trauma kits; who are equipped and ready to deal with any first aid situation. Clearly, some events carry higher risks than others and we tailor the first aid team that we send to you to ensure the best and highest possible first aid coverage. For all local council events, Colmed Group has you covered, whether you are a committee member for a BMX Club, Mountain Bike Club or road racing bike club.
