Colmed Student Placements

Colmed Group offers placement opportunities to Paramedic & Nursing students in various settings, scenarios and locations throughout Victoria (VIC) and New South Wales (NSW).  While completing placement hours, students are afforded with invaluable experience, observing, engaging and responding to patients to a range of injuries and illnesses all while being mentored by a team of experienced medical professionals.

Student placement mandatory certificates required:

  • Police Check (completed within the last 12 months)
  • Working with Children Check (V)
  • Provide First Aid Certification (Level 2 First Aid)
  • Provide CPR Certification (completed within the last 12 months)

Due to the time required to complete all clinical administration and the clinical resources which will be available, there is a one off placement fee.  In addition to the student placement fee, a uniform bond is required.  All Colmed staff are required to wear a Colmed uniform and students will be provided with a Colmed shirt, vest, jacket, beanie and cap.  This bond is fully refundable upon the completion of placement hours, once the uniform is returned washed and ironed.

Please note: Student Placements will need to provide their own Black Utility Pants and Black work boots.

The hours can be completed quickly or over an extended period of time.  Once successfully completed all associated recruitment documentation you will be allocated to a program which we use to roster staff to events.  Through this portal you will be able to update your availability Monday to Sunday and shift times you are available for. Based on your availability and the events we have running you will be rostered alongside a clinical instructor.
